EMS-E (SES) is staffed Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm

Authorized users have access to EMS-E 24 hours/ 7 days using their I-card.

EMS-E is located in the western part of Science and Engineering South (SES) at the south-west corner of Halsted and Taylor.

Instruments in EMS-E include our Materials Science TEMs (JEOL JEM-ARM200CF & JEOL JEM-3010), XPS, Raman and Specimen prep for materials Science TEM. Visitor parking is available in both the Morgan St lot (adjacent to SES) and the Taylor St garage (NE corner of Halsted & Taylor).

The CTA Blue Line stop at UIC/Halsted is two blocks north of SES between Harrison and Van Buren and CTA bus #157 Streeterville/ Taylor connects SES to Downtown, Metra stations and Michigan Avenue.

EMS-W (MSB) is staffed Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm.
Room E5, MSB, 835 South Wolcott Avenue(312-996-7603)

Authorized users have access to EMS-W 24 hours/ 7 days using their I-card.

EMS-W is located in the basement of the Medical Sciences Building (MSB). Enter through the 835 South Wolcott (North Entrance) go up the stairs and take the elevators on the left to the basement. When you exit the elevator turn left and take the first corridor on the left. The visitor entrance to EMS-W is at E5, which is the first door on the left. Regular users with i-card access should use the second door on the left (E32).

The cta Pink Line stop at Polk is two blocks east of MSB at the corner of Polk and Paulina. CTA bus #157 Streeterville Taylor serves the corner of Wolcott & Polk and cta bus #7 Harrison can be caught at the Polk L stop.
